Meet our Tutors
Maria
With over 5 year of tutoring, Maria strives to build a student’s confidence in their work and self. Maria works with students ranging from 2nd grade to 12th grade, along with adult learners. She supports students in various subjects and tests including: ACT, SATs, ISEEs, SHATS, and state tests. Maria is also a native, fluent Spanish tutor. Maria understands the stresses and struggles that students go through and always adjust her methods to the individual student. She uses a holistic and communicative approach. She is always transparent about where the student is at and the next steps to be taken. She highly values effective communication with parents and appreciates their feedback.
David
With over three years of tutoring experience as well as scores in the top 1 percentile in the following tests, he has helped students reach their academic goals, working to improve SAT, ACT, SAT II and GRE scores. He is available for the aforementioned tests as well as advising regarding high school/college applications, as well as courses in Math and English up to the undergraduate level.
Gavin
My approach to education centers around creating an environment that makes students feel comfortable trying new things despite making mistakes, while also challenging students to push out of their comfort zone creatively and intellectually. I strive to empower students to acquire knowledge in ways that augment their learning style and suit their personal curiosities. This helps to heighten effort from students and capture their interest in a naturally fun and engaging way. Results tend to follow quickly when students feel they are heard, supported, and involved in the process.
